Frequently Asked Questions
What noise barrier systems does JINBIAO manufacture?
JINBIAO produces metal (galvanized and powder coated) noise barriers, transparent PMMA and polycarbonate acoustic panels, perforated aluminum sound-absorbing panels, railway and high-speed rail barriers, fully enclosed barriers, industrial plant barriers and solar (photovoltaic) noise barriers. Panels are supplied together with steel H posts, connecting fittings and optional top crowning, so a complete barrier line can be sourced from one factory.
How do I choose between metal and transparent noise barrier panels?
Selection usually depends on the required noise reduction, the need to keep daylight or sightlines, and the site environment. Metal panels with perforated absorptive cores are commonly used along highways and railways where acoustic performance is the priority. Transparent panels such as PMMA are often specified for bridges, residential sections and toll areas where light and visibility matter. Mixed systems combine both, using transparent panels for the upper rows.
Can noise barriers be customized for a specific project?
Yes. Panel height, length, thickness, perforation pattern, frame profile, surface finish and colour can be adjusted to suit the project drawing or acoustic report. Common finishes include hot-dip galvanizing, PVC coating and powder coating in RAL colours. Project-specific designs, shop drawings and packing plans are prepared according to the site conditions and the confirmed specification.
How are noise barriers protected against corrosion in coastal or humid regions?
Steel components are hot-dip galvanized, and can be further protected with PVC or powder coating for coastal, tunnel and industrial environments. Fasteners and brackets are supplied in galvanized or stainless steel, and cut edges are treated during production to limit early corrosion. Where a long service life is required, thicker zinc coatings and additional paint systems can be specified. Regular inspection of the coating condition, and prompt touch-up of damaged areas, helps extend service life.
What information do you need to prepare a noise barrier quotation?
A preliminary solution and quotation are provided at the enquiry stage. Useful information includes the project location and type (highway, railway, bridge, plant or substation), barrier length and required height, target noise reduction if specified, preferred panel type, quantity and expected delivery schedule. Drawings or site photos help us confirm the structure. Installation drawings and detailed technical documents are provided after cooperation is confirmed.
