These barriers not only block noise transmission but also absorb sound waves, reducing echo and improving overall acoustic efficiency. The aerodynamic and customizable design allows adaptation to various project requirements, including straight, curved, or fully enclosed structures.
With strong corrosion resistance, weather durability, and long service life, our highway sound walls are suitable for harsh outdoor conditions. Additionally, aesthetic options such as color coating, perforated patterns, and transparent sections can enhance the visual appeal of infrastructure projects.
Sound Barriers (also known as Noise Walls, Noise Barriers, Noise Fences or Sound Barrier Walls) have been made of a number of different materials over the years. Noise barriers are solid obstructions built between noise sources, be it highway noise or air conditioning equipment, that are designed to be “line of sight” interruptions between the noise source and the receiver.

The barrier is assembled from sound-absorbing panels supported by H-type steel columns and fastening systems. The panel core is filled with high-density acoustic insulation such as mineral wool or fibreglass, the facing is aluminium or galvanized steel sheet, and transparent PC sections are used where daylight has to be maintained.
Two effects work together. The wall interrupts the line of sight between the road and the receiver, which lowers the sound reaching the far side, and the perforated absorptive facing converts part of the sound energy into heat instead of reflecting it. On roads with barriers on both sides this also limits the build-up of echo between the two walls.
Metal panels are commonly supplied in heights of 0.5 m, 1.0 m, 2.0 m, 2.5 m, 3.0 m and 4.0 m, in 80 mm or 100 mm thickness, with sheet thickness of 1.0-1.5 mm and shutter or perforated faces. Panels are stacked to the required wall height and fixed between posts at the designed spacing.
Yes. The modular design can be arranged in straight runs, curved alignments or fully enclosed sections, and the structure is detailed for exposed roadside conditions. Colour coating, perforated patterns and transparent rows can be used so that the barrier fits its surroundings.
Steel components are galvanized and can be coated for additional protection, which provides the corrosion resistance and weather durability needed in outdoor service. As with any roadside barrier, periodic inspection of the coating condition and prompt touch-up of damaged areas help maintain performance over the service life.
